CMS Source Driver

The CMS Hadron Calorimeter absolute energy calibration is performed by moving a radioactive source of known energy through the calorimeter inside small tubes.  The radioactive sources are moved on flexible wires, which are controlled by pneumatic and electrical motors.  The EDF is building microcontroller-based electronics to control the source sources from a design done by the University of Iowa.
