CMS HCAL Data Concentrator

The CMS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider in Geneva, Switzerland is designed to study the collisions of proton particles at very high energies. This reproduces conditions which occurred just after the "big bang" in which the universe was created, and will allow scientists to study particles such as the elusive Higgs Boson which have not been seen since.

The EDF built two generations of Data Concentrator Cards which are used to process data from the Hadron Calorimeter, a part of the CMS detector which measures the energy of particles.
