Baby Mobile Controller

This device is a musical mobile that is suspended over a table where an infant subject lies on it's back. A plastic target equipped with a micro-switch trigger is placed above the infant's feet. When the target is kicked, the mobile is activated for a short period. This design was for an experiment in infant learning conducted by Dr. Linda Fetters and her group in the Sargent College.

Biological Compound Sensor

This device will use a proprietary sensor chip to measure the concentrations of various biological compounds in an aqueous solution.

The basic requirements are:

* Control 2 bias voltages (V1 and V2) for the sensor
* Superimpose a small AC signal (10mV) at a frequency variable from 2-100 Hz on V1
* Measure the AC current through the sensor as a function of the applied AC signal (dynamic resistance).
* Collect a family of curves by varying V1 and V2 for known concentrations of a test compound for calibration
* Finally, measure dynamic resistance at fixed V1, V2 for unknown compound concentrations and report the measured concentration.

Biological Signal Delay Generator

This circuit is designed to synchronize a CCD camera with a particular phase of a periodic
biological signal (i.e. electrocardiogram or respiration transducer). The CCD shutter will be
activated at a fixed fraction of the measured period of the period of the input signal.
